Part 2 of the Sexism in the Arts topic covers more personal information relating to our creative partnership, and how others perceive that and treat us, individually. Coming off the success of his current show “Blasphemous Nature” at 111 Minna Gallery, Robert Bowen joins us in the studio to discuss 20+ years of experience in the gallery world. Robert’s artwork depicts a fusion of animals, insects and automated parts, which speaks directly to our relationship with nature. Robert has been interviewed by Hi-Fructose and Juxtapoz magazines, but we’ve recently had the privilege of recording his first audio interview.

Episode 28: Valuing Your Time

28- Title Card.jpg

This week’s episode is a follow-up to last week’s “When Opportunity Knocks” (or, saying YES!) episode! We have a deep situational conversation about when you have to tell potential clients no. The ‘no’ word does not have to be negative, and especially doesn’t have to negatively impact your art business. We explain how the act of saying no when the time is right could be a sign that you’re maturing as a professional, and you are beginning to value your time as one of your most precious assets.
